How many clicks are in each dose?

Counting Clicks

Pens are designed to automatically lock after four clicks (or injections).

A pen will lock is if it is being microdosed—meaning that it is not being used for the full prescribed dose, such as turning the dial to 1 and using a higher dose pen to stretch out additional doses.

Unfortunately, we are unable to prescribe higher doses for the purpose of adjusting to lower doses by counting the clicks. As per our guidelines, the titration schedule must be followed accurately. Counting clicks does not provide a precise measurement of your dose and could affect how we monitor your weight loss progress relative to your dosing regimen.

Double dosing

Double-dosing weight loss medication is strongly discouraged because it can significantly increase the risk of serious side effects without providing additional benefits. These medications are carefully dosed to balance efficacy and safety; taking more than the recommended amount can lead to severe nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and even dangerous complications like pancreatitis or kidney damage.

Furthermore, double dosing can disrupt the medication's intended effects on appetite regulation and glucose metabolism, potentially leading to unpredictable and harmful results. Always following the prescribed dose is crucial to ensure the medication works effectively and safely.
