Why couldn’t my result be processed?

Occasionally we may need to ask you for a resample.

Covid PCR

Test results are either Negative, Positive or inconclusive. All three are an acceptable test results. In the case the results are inconclusive, don’t worry, we've got you covered with a replacement kit 50% off the original price.  

In the case the sample is tampered with or not in good condition to be tested, we will issue a replacement kit free of charge and notify you.

 

Blood

Insufficient sample 

Sometimes your sample is marked “insufficient”. This is because not enough blood was collected on to the collection tube and the lab could not run your analysis. In this instance we would recommend 50% off for a replacement kit and a doctor to collect blood onto the collection tube.

 

DNA

Insufficient sample 

Sometimes your sample is marked “insufficient”. This is because not enough DNA was collected on the swab so the lab could not run your analysis. 

Contaminated sample 

If your sample is marked “contaminated” this indicates contamination of foreign microparticles or substances affecting the viability of your sample. This may be due to food being consumed within 30 minutes before doing the swab. 

Please note

    • When taking any DNA test ensure to rub the swab in the inside of the cheek firmly for a minimum of 30 seconds.
    • When taking the Covid-19 swab test ensure to swab the very back of your throat for a minimum of 30 seconds.
