Why has my payment failed, and how can I fix it?

Understand the causes of failed payments and how to quickly resolve them to avoid service interruptions

A failed payment can interrupt your order or pause your subscription. This article explains why payments may fail, how to resolve the issue, and what steps to take to ensure your Rightangled service continues without disruption.

Why do payments fail?

Payments may fail for several common reasons:

  • Insufficient funds in your account
  • Expired or revoked card
  • Incorrect card details
  • Bank declining the transaction
  • Security checks or restrictions from your provider

When a payment fails, your subscription may be paused, and any pending orders may not be processed.

What happens if your payment fails?

If we’re unable to process your payment:

  • Your subscription may be temporarily paused
  • Your upcoming order may be delayed or not processed
  • You may receive an email notification with instructions to resolve the issue

Our goal is to help you restore your service as quickly as possible.

How to fix a failed payment

To resolve a failed payment, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account

Access your Rightangled account via the portal.

2. Go to your subscription

Navigate to Manage my subscription.

3. Update your payment method

  • Check your current card details
  • Add a new card if needed
  • Ensure all details are correct and up to date

If your card has been revoked or declined, we recommend using a different card.

4. Assign the updated payment method

Make sure the new or updated card is selected for your subscription, as adding a card alone does not automatically apply it.

5. Reactivate your subscription (if paused)

If your subscription has been paused due to failed payments, click Reactivate my subscription.

Additional options available

Depending on your situation, you may also:

  • Request a new billing date if your current schedule isn’t suitable
  • Place a new order manually if you need your medication urgently
  • Pause or adjust your subscription directly from your account

Avoiding future payment issues

To prevent future payment failures:

  • Ensure sufficient funds are available before billing dates
  • Keep your card details up to date
  • Replace expired or cancelled cards promptly
  • Inform your bank if transactions are being declined

Important things to know

  • Updating your card in your profile does not automatically update your subscription
  • You must select the correct payment method within your subscription settings
  • Failed payments may pause your subscription until resolved
  • Orders will not be processed until a valid payment method is in place
