Arrivals from Green list countries need 1 PCR test on Day 2. Arrivals from Amber list countries are required to do 2 PCR tests on Day 2 and Day 8. An optional Day 5 "Test to release" PCR test can be done to release yourself from quarantine.
All International arrivals into England are required to take Covid-19 PCR tests. The number of tests required depends on the country from which the traveller is arriving.
For example, you might need to do a PCR test on Day 2 or Day 2 and Day 8 of your 10-day quarantine.
*Please note, a quarantine might not be a requirement for green list destinations. However, a mandatory test on Day 2 is needed. Please refer to government guidelines for more information.
